Insurance Surveys

Our Managing Director Captain Sven Fromm is since nearly 2 years accepted full member of the International Institute of Marine Surveying and therefore he is able to act as owners/managers representative in insurance cases.

It is his expertise to liaise with the different underwriters and insurers in order to minimize costs and to protect the owners/managers interest in any case of dispute. He has carried out following tasks as owner’s representative during his Marine carrier:

• Collisions
• Groundings
• Unsafe Port cases
• Cargo handling damages
• Short shipment claims
• Cargo water damages
• Cargo mishandling claims
• (Reefer Container, wrong cargo care, etc.)

He is also able to work for the underwriter or insurer but needs to be approved by the particular underwriter/insurer on a case to case basis.
